Meal Prep??
Just about everyone that I know meal preps or has meal prepped at some point. And then there is me the person who for the life of them cant decide what they want to eat on a daily basis. Leftovers don’t make it past breakfast for me so Jesus be a fence with this meal prep.
I decided to give meal prep a shot because as you all know I am on this weight loss journey and while I am not where I want to be just yet I have made positive strides over the past few months, and if I could get down 10 more pounds I would be satisfied. A lot of women that I follow on YouTube as well as accounts I follow on Instagram even down to some of my friends preach meal prep and these people are in some of the best shapes of their lives. From running for fun, to being very tone and six packs I want in!
So here is what I am going to do. Starting this Thursday-Monday of next week (I am currently on a work trip and I have another work trip next week) I am going to meal prep.
My meal of choice will be:
Salmon (pan seared salmon infused with garlic and herb butter and lemon)
Sautéed Spinach and Mushrooms
Baked Brussels Sprouts
Now me being completely honest I will probably cook these items fresh everyday. Well the Salmon everything else I can prep in advance.
I am going to do this for three reasons.
1.) Me having no idea of what I want to eat is making Grubhub and Seamless a killing. Can I write them off on my taxes?
2.) I want to control what I am cooking with and monitor exactly what I am putting into my body. Cooking more will help me become more disciplined.
3.) I am slowly burning out from Sweetgreen and Chipotle Salads (what I practically eat during the week)
I am staying consistent with my low-carb no carb diet and this meal will help me stay on track. I will post an update after next week for you all to see the positive affects this meal prep had on me.
Who knows I might actually like this and I can possibly stick with it. Think of all the money I could save!!!!
