Hi Sitting Pretty Friends,

As you know (and if you don't know go read my prepping for a juice cleanse post) I have recently completed a juice cleanse.  Before I dive into the review on this cleanse I would like to add that this was hands down the easiest cleanse I have completed to date!  3 days went by with ease leading me up for a 7 day cleanse this summer.  Okay back to my review.

This go round I purchased a cleanse from Pressed Juicery!  I have previously seen this brand around in stores so I was a tad bit familiar with it in that regards.  Nonetheless, I went online and to my surprise Pressed Juicery had a sale so I was sold.  I followed the instructions in regards to ordering and I impatiently waited on my cleanse to arrive.

In the meantime I actively prepared and prepped my body for the cleanse. I want to say that it took around 4 days for the juices to arrive.  The juices arrived on a Wednesday and I started my cleanse on that Friday.

Now I will be honest with you I was nervous when looking at the juices that I needed to consume there was a thick almond vanilla concoction, and I was not excited about that.  I knew I had to get that one out the way first each day lol.

Day 1:

I started Friday with a citrus detox.  I love citrus fruits so I couldn't wait to drink those juices. Overall day one was a breeze I consumed these juices with ease, didn't think about food at all.  I ended the night with the pressed juice elderberry shot.  I did something I said I wasn't going to do and that was light exercise.

*I did a quick ab Youtube workout each morning with my glass of water mixed with protein didn't break a sweat but boy did I feel it.

Day 2:

I was up for work around 8:00am and I started drinking my first juice around 10:00am that way I was finished by 8:00pm.  I was on a rigorous juice schedule so again I didn't think about solid food.  I would like to add that every hour I was drinking something.  Every two hours I was drinking a pressed juice, and every hour I was drinking a liter of water.  My water of choice is Essentia and I order cases weekly from Amazon.  Sidenote, I am beyond grateful that I was able to find toilet paper in bulk at Costco because I believe I relieved myself about 12 times each day maybe more. By 10:00pm I was full and eager to start day 3.  I didn't really pay attention in regards to the order I drank the juices but what I will say is I started day 2 with the Almond Vanilla concoction and I ended day 2 and 3 with one of the citrus juices.

Day 3:

Waking up day 3 I was full of energy and ready to tackle the day ahead. I had a pretty busy day workwise so I set reminders throughout the day when It was time to drink the juice. I started the morning with the thick almond concoction and I ended the day with one of the citrus juices and I grabbed whatever for the juices in between.  I will give a list of the juices in the cleanse at the end of the blog post and how well I liked them.  Like day 2 I also did a quick 10 minute ab exercises during my lunch break extreme low intensity, and I didn't break a sweat. If you are one of those people that need to workout a quick low intensity ab exercise or low intensity full body exercise should do the trick.  Like days 1 and 2 the amount of liquid that I was consuming was massive.  On average I was drinking around 2 gallons of water in addition to the 16 oz juices.  There were times when I was uncomfortably full.  Overall like the other two days I made it through piece of cake.

Overall, Pressed Juicery has a reputable juice cleanse, and the overall quality of the juice was to my liking.  There are a few of the juices in this cleanse that I could have went without one being the Almond Vanilla.  However, someone somewhere said that that juice needed to be apart of this particular cleanse and I obliged.  Some of the juices were spicy.  I had to literally look at the ingredients for one of the juices when I was drinking it because I was thrown back by the spice kick that it had (I later found out it was the amount of ginger in the juice that made the juice spicy).

The underlying question is will I ever do another Pressed Juicery Juice Cleanse?  The answer is yes, overall I enjoyed the quality and the juices did keep me full.  I also enjoyed that within a couple days of ordering the juices were at my door.  Which brings me to packaging.  I consistently buy juices from Arden's Garden and they package my juices up and I typically receive them frozen so I have to unthaw them.  The same for Pressed.  The packaging was filled with dry ice and cold packs which were still pretty cold when they arrived.  One of the things that I really liked about these juices were they arrived not frozen but chilled and ready to consume.  So there wasn't that extra step of unthawing and I liked that.

The cleanse that I did was cleanse 2.  It is also Pressed Juicery's most popular cleanse.  It consist of:

  1. Greens 2 (Pretty good standard green juice)

  2. Citrus 2 (My favorite)

  3. Greens 3 (Spicy)

  4. Roots 3 (Really enjoyed)

  5. Citrus 1 (Loved this as well)

  6. Vanilla Almond (Thick and Gritty least favorite)

Tried any cleanses lately?  Write it down below in the comments, eager to try a different cleanse in the near future!
