Colonic... Why Not?

I have wanted to get a colonic for a long time. I just never got around to it. While I am on this hardcore workout kick and fad’s to drop pounds ASAP I felt that now was the perfect time. I made an appointment at a place in Chicago called Ruby Room. When I arrived I had no idea what to expect. I sat in a very nice waiting room until my technician was ready for me. I have seen video’s of colonic reviews, however I wasn’t sure if this location did colonics the same as places I have seen. They didn’t. This was also a 60 minute session I thought it was 30 minutes. What have I signed myself up for!

I met with my technician and she led me into my room. I was told what immediate next steps were and they were to undress taking everything off but my bra. I had paid for a colonic that came with a CBD rub ( I had no idea what this was initially). I undressed and waited on the table for my tech to come back so we could get started. She next explained to me what she was going to insert I rolled over and let her insert the tube, and lock it in place. She explained that warm water was going to flow constantly, and that there would be pressure when they fill the colon and let them know when I needed her to stop so I could release.

Mind you I THOUGHT that the water that I felt was my colon filling it I was WRONG! She started the water to fill my Colon and I instantly regret being there. She was rubbing the CBD oil on my stomach to help move waste down and out. I want to say I lasted 10 seconds the first go round with the water fill before I felt like I was going to explode! My technician released the water and I watched the tube to see what came out. I am a very curious individual so I was fascinated. There wasn’t anything that came out the first flush. I asked if this was normal and I was informed that usually the first 2-3 flushes will be clear.

Round 2 I knew what to expect. I want to say this round I was able to let water flow through the colon for 20 seconds. This entire time my technician was massaging my stomach to assist with navigating the water. When I felt like I was going to explode I released, and I saw some things being released through the tube finally (I was informed that whatever I do don’t push! This is definitely easier said than done). I was also sweating excessively and very squeamish at this point.

Round 3 I knew this one was going to be a challenge for me because my stomach was cramping very bad. I held the water for about 20 seconds again this time and HOUSTON we had a problem. I had the urge to go to the bathroom in a way that I have never felt before. My technician told me to release through the tube, I was trying not to push in addition to sweating like a pig, and major stomach cramps. I couldn’t make it. I had her yank the tube out I grabbed a bathrobe and ran across to the bathroom to release, and boy did I release. After coming to terms with only making it through 20 minutes of my 60 minute session I learned that the reason that I felt so uncomfortable was because I am very blocked up. Every time I got a cramp that was the water hitting a blockage.

I literally thought I was going to poop the table, I had to get up. I am going to go back within the next couple weeks, and my goal is to make it through the entire session. I felt a little better when my technician let me know that I wasn’t the only person that had to stop. I was also told that I could drop 5lbs in a single session. I only lost 1. I also found out that my colon is about 6 feet long and we got through about 2 of the 6 feet if that. I am a person that has a very high pain tolerance and yet I had to stop because my mind told me I was going to have a major accident, however now that I know what to expect going forward I should be able to finish without a problem. I will update you all when I go back for my second session.

If you live in Chicago and you are curious about getting a hydrotherapy colonic I would recommend going to Ruby Room. I did a lot of research before finally deciding on a place.
