Time To Improvise
With these mandatory orders to stay in the house popping up all over the nation a lot of us are not able to do our monthly upkeeps. I don't know about you, but not being able to get my nails/toes done, hair done, or my monthly wax's I am going crazy. I am pretty sure I am turning into a cave women. This is when I had a eureka moment! We live in a time where there are alternatives for just about anything.
All of the items that I am going to discuss in this post I already owned, and I am sure if any of you are like me you already own some of these products as well. I will also post links to the products in the bottom of this post.
How I overcame turning into a cave women was by using Nair! I own 3 different types of Nair, and I put them all to the test. Ladies, I have no idea why I never thought of this before and it was painless! I used my charcoal Nair on my legs as advertised. I rubbed thick layers on each of my legs and let it sit. While I was letting the Nair work its magic on my legs I applied another Nair product on my bum, stomach, chest, underarms and as much of my back as my little arms could reach (I also used facial Nair on my stach but this was done at a different time).
I stood like the Tin-man for an additional 5 minutes once completely covered, and then I hopped in the shower to wash it off, and more importantly to see if it worked. The hair wiped off, and my skin was not irritated. This is huge! I have extremely sensitive skin, so I am cautious when trying new products.
While the hair removal process was a cake walk it bleached my towels. I was shocked by this especially since I lathered up after I washed off the hair removal cream. If I have to sacrifice a towel or two until I am able to get back to my wax studio then so be it. Also with the charcoal Nair I had to go behind and clean out the shower as there were charcoal particles scattered about my shower door and wall. Again, something minimal.
Overall, I highly recommend as an alternative, I may even cut back on my monthly wax's and start using Nair more frequently.
What are some other alternatives that you all have tried/come up with? Comment Below!
