Tea of the Week!

Hello my quarantine friends!  Hope you all have been holding up and staying busy and productive during these uncertain times.

My spotlight tea of the week is a tea that of course I first found out about through my sipsby box.  I loved this tea so much that I purchased the largest quantity of tea that I could from this brand.  The tea is amazing!  I kid you not.  From first sip this tea easily jumped into my top 3 favorite teas of all time.  So without further ado my tea of the week is the Strawberry Blend by Tea Heads.

Strawberry Blend by Tea Heads is a fruity loose leaf tea blend.  Strawberry blend is made up of dried elderberries, hibiscus, apple, black currants, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries and a hint of wild strawberry leaves. This tea is jam packed with vitamins and infused with fruit notes.  This tea is also caffeine free, so you can literally enjoy day or night!  I typically have a glass of this tea midday as I need my caffeinated teas to wake me up in the morning.

How I get my Strawberry Blend to my satisfaction you are going to need a few things:

1.) A tea kettle ( I warm up my water on the stove however, a microwave works fine also)

2.) Cute double glassed mug  (Normal ceramic mug works perfect as well)

3.) Loose Leaf Strawberry Blend Tea

4.) Tea Steeper

5.) Sugar rocks

6.) Ice

Instructions:

I start by warming up my water on the stove.  It typically takes about 10 minutes for the water to heat up on medium heat.  While this is going on I add a couple tea spoons of loose leaf tea into my tea steeper.  I place my full tea steeper and a few sugar rocks in my glass mug and once the water is ready I pour the water into the mug.  I typically let the tea steep for about 10 minutes before I remove the tea steeper (this tea is a very deep vibrant red color).  It is almost time to drink at this point.  I add a few ice cubes wait a minute or so and then I drink up.  Now I am sure you can drink this hot however, I love to drink this fruity refreshing drink cold.
